Orange Mobile

What is the Orange Mobile site?
The Orange Mobile site allows you to securely check your account balance, view recent transaction history and transfer funds using your mobile web browser already in your phone, PDA or Blackberry.

What do I need to have in order to access the Orange Mobile site?
Your mobile device requires a web browser. Most modern phones, PDAs and Blackberry devices have HTML or Web Browsers already installed. Currently there are a variety of browsers for mobile devices and for this reason ING DIRECT is not able to provide technical support. The Orange Mobile site is not a WAP service.

How do I know if my mobile phone will support web browsing?
Consult your user's manual or check with your telephone manufacturer.

Can I call for help about the Mobile website?
ING DIRECT Associates are NOT able to answer specific technical questions about the Orange Mobile site or questions about specific mobile devices. We welcome your comments at mobile@ingdirect.com - you will not receive a response; however your input could influence future enhancements.

Is it secure using my mobile device to access my ING DIRECT account(s)?
Yes. You will be required to login to your account(s) the same way you do on a computer. In addition, your transactions are fully encrypted and secure. When you submit information to us through the Orange Mobile site, your information is protected. As with our website, all data transferred between the ING DIRECT internal network and an external network is encrypted to industry standards (128-bit encryption). Mobile devices that do not support 128-bit encryption will be denied service, just as we do to unsecure browsers. Any changes to our security policy for browsers, will automatically apply to mobile devices since we provide service to mobile devices through a browser.

You are also protected by our Orange Security Guarantee, which assures that if your security is ever compromised, we’ll make it right.

Why can’t I register my device through the New Login Process?
Registering a device requires a JavaScript enabled device and cookie support, some mobile phones do not support these features. The BlackBerry does not automatically ship with JavaScript support turned “on”, so you must change the browser settings to allow this. Consult your user's manual or check with your telephone manufacturer to learn how to enable JavaScript and cookies.

Why isn’t there a PIN pad when logging in?
Currently, this functionality does not exist for mobile devices. It’s important that you operate your mobile device in a safe manner avoiding spyware and viruses.
