To maximize your savings, have a fixed amount of money regularly transferred from your linked checking account to your Orange Savings Account. You can set up an Automatic Savings Plan at the time you open your Orange Savings or you can set one up online. Sign on at 'View my Account' and go to the 'Transfer Money' tab where you can request the amount and frequency of your deposits.

Is there a minimum amount or frequency for the Automatic Savings Plan?
ING DIRECT does not have any minimum deposit requirements. You may select any date you like for the deposit amount you choose. The frequency can be monthly, bi-monthly, and weekly, or you can set up more than one ASP to get the frequency you like.

How can I make changes to or cancel my Automatic Savings Plan?
You can make changes to your automatic transfers on this website by canceling your current Automatic Savings Plan and creating a new one. Simply go to the 'View my Account' section and click on the account where the ASP is set up. It will be listed as a 'Pending Transaction', click the delete button to cancel all future occurrences of this transaction. Then to create a new ASP move to the 'Transfer Money' tab and enter a new amount and frequency. Or, you can call a Sales Associate at 1-888-ING-0727. Please be sure to delete a planned transaction at least 24 hours before the next transfer is due to occur.

Why do Automatic Savings Plan transactions show on my ING DIRECT statement on different days than they show on my checking account statement?
We post the transaction on the date we request your funds. Your checking account bank will typically receive this request 2 business days later. Please also remember that if the scheduled transfer falls on a bank holiday, the transaction will be moved to the next business day.

How do I change the linked account that my Automatic Savings Plan is using?
If you have already created the new checking account link, you may either login to your Orange Savings Account on our website, ingdirect.com, and click the 'Transfer Money' tab and create a new ASP or you may call our Customer Service Center at 1-888-464-0727 anytime between 7 AM and 9 PM to make the request. If you have not created the new link, please mail a $1.00 check with your Customer Number and "Link" in the memo line of the check. Once it is linked, you may go to the website or call us.
